“The cache is full. The simulation has finally bridged the ‘Long Gap’ between the 17-year-old event and Buddy‘s current timeline. The energy surge was too much for my remote uplink to handle. If the NAMIKI_OS doesn’t crash from the processing load, the next few seconds will determine if Buddy’s capsule—and his mind—survived the impact. The prospect of starting over is…impossible, but once again it’s too soon to tell if that is our present course.”
